It's a reference to a Dr. Who episode in the most recent series wherein The Doctor theorizes that a creature may have a perfectly evolved ability to hide from all physical observation yet your subconcious knows it's there. Like the feeling one sometimes gets of being watched when in what appears to be an obviously empty room.

at worst it sounds too complex for consumers to get their heads around

You could have said the same thing about personal computers. Most users who use Ripple may not even know they are using it, just like computers (most people who use computers do not realize that that thing in their hand that allows them to look at youtube is a computer)

You do not have to use Gateways to use Ripple. If someone "credits" you 100$ then you should talk to that someone on how to retrieve it. Sometimes they may be connected to gateways, sometimes they are connected to the bitcoin bridge or some other bridge and you can use an exterior system. Sometimes not.

Militia still meant militia though, and not everybody.

It means just about everybody.

US code Title 10, Section 311:

(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.
(b) The classes of the militia are—
(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and
(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.

In other words, just about everybody.

1. All video gets released after 2 years
2. Those in a recording can sign a release to allow for earlier public release, this can be a part of any booking process if an arrest is made but has to be explicitly optional on the part of the suspect.
3. Recordings can be released early for specifically defined public safety and suspect apprehension purposes (eg, somebody shoots an officer and escapes, amber alert or other active suspect recording)
4. Recordings are automatically released early at the request of an organization of the Press.
5. Recordings can be released early at the order of a Judge (any Judge at any time, so as to preclude a pro-LEO or even anti-LEO seeming Judges from preventing a release).

There is no doubt that this was not a 'hack'.

I have a Macbook Pro sitting on a shelf next to me that has a stuck control key that randomly registers during use. It's not physically stuck, and even after fully removing the key and zapping PRAM/resetting everything and even reinstalling the OS, it randomly engages. I've witnessed this myself on different models of Macs with different keys being affected.

This lady just wants to blame everyone else for her lack of mental acuity and imagines she is more important that she will ever be, like most of the right wing herpa-derpa Obummer is terkin er jerbs idiots in news media and the assholes on everyone's facebook forwarding O-bola conspiracy articles.
