That depends on who you are pissing off. I had a co-worker walk out without notice and had no problem getting another job. Employers actually sympathized with him because they had heard stories of our boss. We had several contractors leave because of him, so our boss' name got around the industry quickly. Any of us that worked with him would have gladly given him a good reference.

Some people call them revenue raisers.

That is what they are. Speeding isn't that big of a cause of accidents, but it is the easiest to ticket because it is measurable. When everyone is doing 20mph over the limit on the highway, there is no issue. If one person is doing 20mph faster than everyone else and weaving between lanes, that is an issue. Worse if someone is drunk, talking/texting on a cell phone or distracted with something else. I'd rather work on detecting these drivers as they are the real danger.

run for an hour outdoors with your heart rate around 150-165. "Good shape" will get you 7.5 miles. Good weekend triathletes will get 10 miles. Professional triathletes will get 12.

You clearly aren't a runner, at least not one capable of the 10-12 miles. It possible those great athletes to get that distance in an hour, but in race conditions. It isn't something they are going to do 3 times a week.

Guns are part of the problem. What legitimate reason could anyone have for owning an AR15? Don't you dare say hunting. If you can't kill a deer with a standard hunting rifle, you need a new hobby. Personally, I'd rather take my chances with a disturbed individual trying to build a bomb than getting their hands on an assualt rifle. No matter how easy you think it is to build a bomb, firing a gun is far simpler. Anyone looking up how to build a bomb is also going to end up on watch lists and could potentially (chances are likely slim though) be picked up before something happens. If he had come in wielding knives, there is a decent chance the principal and other staff member that died trying to stop him would have succeeded. They may still have died, but those 20 children would be alive.
