So you can just call him the Spammer Formerly Known as Rotem Guez
The main problem right now is that each kernel must be specific to the device, since each one is wired differently and there aren't any standards (in use) for enumerating the various chips available (e.g. bluetooth, GPU, etc.).
This is actually a huge problem for installing alternative OSs. Most of the drivers are closed source, and there is no incentive for the manufacturers to release or open them. It's actually the other way round. Manufacturers benefit more by keeping other OSs out, so for that to happen, there would have to be some sort of paradigm shift in the market.
Meg Whitman said in an interview with The Verge that they are planning on making more tablets later. We'll see how that pans out, but it might give webOS a bit more traction.
Also the open sourcing webOS might open the door for the Dalvik VM and running Android applications on webOS. That would make things interesting.
The preferred phone is Pre 3. I have one and it's
Actually the text changes depending on your language, so it doesn't matter. The variable name is the key. btnG for normal search, btnI for I feel lucky.
It's a valid point, but on the other hand you can't routinely try breaking into random houses or cars with little chance of getting caught, and then use them undetected for your personal gains. Your crappy lock will do unless someone from your neighbourhood personally targets your house. With computer security there is a constant global crime spree trying all the locks all the time. This is why I think that computer security needs to be handled with extra care.
Combining this with google's I'm feeling lucky search is quite powerful. A lot of times you know where you want to go, but don't remember the exact URL. If you have gg as I'm feeling lucky shortcut, just write gg company name or gg site name and there you go.
On an unrelated note, don't moderate on laggy browser, or you might accidentally the wrong choice. Posting to cancel the mod. Sorry. IGNORE ME!!!
It's quite sad really. I'm not a scientist, but I've learned enough of our universe to know, that there are plenty of places for a god to hide. We have all this dark matter and energy we're not really sure about, and the whole quantum mechanics stuff seems close to magical and has a lot to do with probabilities. We don't even know how gravity works. Oh and then there are the dimensions that may exist even though we don't seem to be able to observe them.
Now an entity that has control of these things would be pretty close to god in my book, so doing science and learning new stuff doesn't mean you have to accept that there's no god. Besides - no matter how much we learn, every answer brings more mysteries to solve, so it's not like you're ever going to know everything and prove that god doesn't exist.
This only works as long as they are using the original data. I don't know what the standard operating procedure is, but you'd think that the first thing the investigator does is make an image of the drive to make sure he/she doesn't accidentally anything. It would then be also trivial to restore the old keys and ask for the real password.
You know there was an alternative, right? I switched to WebOS after N800 and bought a Pre 3. HP blew that the next day. Still loving the phone though.
This is a good way to scare off potential small contributors. I'm not going to agree to perhaps need to travel to Finland so I can submit a fifty line bugfix, how 'bout you?
It's about a 15 minute bus drive to Nokia HQ from where I live, so...
So if using this connection gives $600M advantage a year over those that aren't using it, everyone will simply start using it. That way nobody will have the advantage and it's back to square one - only everyone be paying extra for the faster connection.
It's a naive, domestic operating system without any breeding, but I think you'll be amused by its presumption.
