nexus 5 (tried on galaxy nexus too). works with an otg cable and any USB flash drive. Lately I got one of those dual tiny thinggies (Normal USB on one end and OTG on the other). It's a bit slow (or so it seemed) but works. Using my own build (nothing custom except for the signing keys to lock the device)

debian (unstable, which is a rolling release if you want) is not immune, you'll have to deal with upgrades that break things. The only difference is you'll deal with theme one (or few) at a time, which is not ideal but way better than what you encountered.
Plus, AFAIK, when dpk installs a new packages that has a different configuration file (in /etc/) it will stop and ask what to do (use new use old merge ...etc).

If you're fumbling around looking for the cigarette you dropped or looking for the pack of cigarettes you have in the glove box, especially, when it is crowded , then you deserve a distracted driving ticket.

With that emphasis added,
The only incident I had was like you said, dropped a lite cigarette, stopped on the next corner and throw it away. That was just the drop that spilled the glass. I stopped smoking in the car since then.
As I said above, usually, it is not much the "insert any action" that is the problem, it is the timing of said action. Drivers need to know when to do and when to not do! with the obligation of driving courses (where I live anyways) that could be an opportunity to educate new drivers in that sense, and stop the moral superiority ground bullshit approach that we have now. if the end goal is safe driving and not ticket's cash that is.

amen to that!
Ads are supposed to convey useful information, which they don't (understandable given the constraints). The trend from what I gathered, is unfortunately, even from the supposedly unconstrained source (website, package ...etc) there is absolutely no useful information (specs, use cases, ingredients ...etc).
the overwhelming message is generally : buy my shit! Why? BECAUSE!
that's borderline insulting, as it is saying: "you're an idiot, we know better than you (in the absolute sense) so buy and shut up or just shut up!"
