Isn't that how weev discovered the ATT flaw?
Be very vey careful.
Looks like Eric Schmidt was paying some attention to what Julian Assange was explaining in the meeting back in June 2011.
Yes this is the global stage. The US is but one actor in the global stage.
Unfortunately, the global framework of laws being developed are not political laws between countries but rather laws with roots in capitalism and finance. Humanity is being left out of the equation. Look at the TPP
This type of activity is quickly becoming a judicial system of sorts. If you do not play by our rules we will destroy you.

My father was one of the first to use the then new 'sulfa' drugs, it saved his life. This was when they were brand new and no studies had been done. I would venture to say in the 1930s when this happened profit was low on the totem pole of motivators to find drugs that save lives.
Today the decision to find new science will be based predominately on profit not necessarily to benefit humanity.
Bill Gates and Microsoft have been around for a very long time. The only real metric we have about them is that Bill Gates is either the richest or second richest person in the world. Depending upon metrics used. That we know.
From that we can surmise that what Bill Gates and Microsft do excedingly well is take money from people and put it in their own pockets.
Since somewhere in the 90s Bill Gates has touted solving poverty with computers. All that has materialized is a transfer of wealth from many to one.
Just remember: poverty is the fruit of wealth.
The more this unravels the more I smell false flag.
I am not an apologist for any group. But can ask what we call it when the US Gov't (CIA especially) pulls off a coup or destabilizes a country fostering civil war.
I ask that as a serious question because if it is state sanctioned it appears as acceptable. If not state sanctioned then it is terrorism.
Remember the US Constitution clearly has avenues to redress the government up to and including overthrowing it. But if you choose to overthrow the government you'll likely spend a lot of time in jail or be dead.
And the population runs around screaming "wait until shit hits the fan". Well shit has been hitting the fan for years but as the above comment shows, the formula to diffuse it works, so people keep running around saying "wait until shit hits the fan"

In case no one has noticed it seems everything is out of control theses days. War, spying, bankers and the economy, human rights and the list goes on.
As Leonard Cohen says in his song The Future:
Things are going to slide, slide in all directions
Won't be nothing
Nothing you can measure anymore
The blizzard, the blizzard of the world
has crossed the threshold
and it has overturned
the order of the soul
It seems that everything we ever used to benchmark human progress has slipped away.

When anything become a commodity with little room for innovation like we have now between iOS and Android, something invariably pops up.
Hurry up Firefox OS
I bought an Acer Chromebook c720. Wiped ChromeOS and installed Bodhi Linux.
Nothing wrong with ChromeOS that Linix can't fix.
I have a ZTE Open C and while I'd say Forefox OS 1.3 is not yet ready for prime time the basics work. I believe 2.0 will be a significant step up. I picked this phone up to use while my Galaxy Nexus was repaired. Worked fine for basic stuff. Phone, maps, websbrowsing.
Maybe the reviewr has too high expectations for this level of phone.
