It is 54% that live in urban areas that create the "world as we know it". Many of the rural population are little more then subsistence farmers.
Show written by and for an Americans but filmed here may contribute to the Canadian economy, but they do little for Canadian culture.
It was the number of subscribers:

Estimates of the number of Canadian subscribes are only available from surveys:
I suspect they just want to know how many customers they have, not specifically who they are.
One of the CRTC jobs is to ensure Canadian TV content gets created and we are not stuck with 100% American programming and Canadian culture disappears entirely. If everyone starts watching all their TV on Netflex and similar services, Canadian TV could all but disappear. Most counties other then US have systems to ensure domestic content is produced, but Canada is so close to the US, the pressure far greater.
Movies aren't subject to regulation and Canadian made movies are barely seen in cinemas (and the few that are tend to be based on Canadian TVs shows).
The smartwatch I had was adequate for a calender and shopping list, and newer ones would have a higher resolution.
I had a Sony Smartwatch for a while before it broke. Here are the apps I would like to see/write, besides the obvious notification apps:
Nextbus predictions
Remote control for mythtv
Monthly calender
Google maps with walking route
Weather
Display brief text, like shopping lists
Looks like a lot of these where covered in the Apple Watch presentation.
There lots of things people use their smartphones for that only require a quick glance. They are the kinds of things a smartwatch is suited for.
If the propane is made from CO2 that is absorbed from the air, like plants are able to, then it is carbon neutral.
How is an air conditioner supposed to know what temperature you want it to be without an Internet connection?
It will make the world a better place if your political opinions are based on evidence and logic.
If you can't use science to overturn part of your cultural identity, then you are missing the most critical requirement of an enlightened democracy and you don't actually comprehend science. Science is applicable to all beliefs and every decision you make everyday.
My previous comment from another article happen defends nuclear power.
However it will take more the eliminating coal to reduce our emission by 80%-90% in the next 35 years.
If there was wide acceptance of AGW we could get on with deciding what to do about it, which can generate a whole lot of genuine controversy and legitimate disagreement.
The only practical alternative to nuclear in many places is fossil fuel power generation which even when working perfectly is not safe for the environment.
Its a lot easier to predict when you know what gene you are transferring then old fashion selective breeding which we have practiced for 10s of thousands to years and managed to change this into this.
They are using the same idea this time. Spending millions of dollars on a desalination plant will cause droughts to end.
