According to wikipedia he contributes to Nepalese healthcare.
You mean Debt of Honor, right? It was apparently a 747.
When politicians came out and said NOBODY EVER THOUGHT OF USING PLANES AS MISSLES!"...I thought...don't any of them read Clancy?
They don't read. Period.
> The island was kept as a non-issue until the Japan nationalised it from so called private owners.
No, the island was an issue well before then. Chinese politicians were raising the issue, and Chinese (and Taiwanese) boats were landing on the island before it was "nationalized" (essentially re-nationalized because it was owned by the Japanese government and then leased. The "nationalization" was the cancellation of the lease).
ICs weren't invented for the space industry, but it is from the space and military industries that the transistor and IC manufacturers received a lot of their initial funding. For both the space and military industries the high costs of transistors and ICs was justified by their space, weight and energy-use savings along with their heat resistance. For business and consumers the benefits didn't justify the costs.
If is wasn't for the space and military industries the development of transistors and ICs would probably have been slower.

It's more than just a transistor. That it is multiple connected components is what gives it significance in the history of technology.
It's a piece of history. The price tag is determined by those who value history.
Actually that was the goal of the AndroVM project. Unfortunately, that project became the commercial Genymotion project and the goal doesn't appear to be desktop integration, but instead a developer tool. You can use it to run apps, but I don't see any specific integration features.
Otherwise, there is BlueStacks, but it runs on Windows and Mac, but not Linux.
Given that Linear A hasn't been deciphered yet, I wonder how they justify putting it in unicode. They don't know for certain which glyphs are distinct characters yet.
Jobs was the one that turned what Woz made into a company. Woz wasn't interested in starting a company. Jobs had to struggle to convince Woz to leave HP and start Apple. If it wasn't for Jobs, Woz might have spent the rest of his life designing calculators at HP. (HP wasn't interested in the computer Woz created, nor does it seem to have recognized Woz's ability.)
Which report are you referring to? The third link in the article says Ericsson.
They're fans of APL? I didn't know there were any still around.
They're pushing a new connector for USB too.
None of the articles I've seen mentioned which version of Novec is being used. They have a great variety: http://solutions.3m.com/wps/po...

It's a naive, domestic operating system without any breeding, but I think you'll be amused by its presumption.
