NCsoft has announced they are closing developer Paragon Studios, responsible for City of Heroes / City of Villains. All subscription charges are stopping immediately and the game will be shut down by the end of the year. Apparently going free-to-play a year ago wasn't enough to foil The Bottom Line's evil plot.

A new sci-fi brothel is being put together near Area 51. Dennis Hof (owner of another brothel in Nevada) and Heidi Fleiss (famed 'Hollywood Madam') where customers can spend time with a costumed Princess Leia, metal bikini and all. Hof expects to get a lot of business from gamers and other socially awkward nerds. No word on if there will be green-painted Orion slave girls for the Captain Kirk room.

Dr. Demento has announced that his long-running comedy radio show will be ending. Modern 'format' radio has been less and less friendly to oddball and offbeat programming, and after years of declining station membership the Doctor announced on June 6th that his radio show will be no more. He will still stream shows from his web site, drdemento.com. While I'm very sad to see the show go, 30 years is a pretty good run.
