Yes, I did RTFA. I've done things like this before when I was doing industrial hacking back in the late 90s. I understand the joy they were getting from doing this job and succeeding. What is creepy is how he worded it.

"Three guys sitting in a room, hacking away, watching porn, and getting paid to do it — life was good," Then he added "The only thing missing was the beer."

I just see it different. Could also be the fact that when I worked with a team in those days, it was always remote with the others scattered across the country and it wasn't hacking cable companies, but routers. So, there was no TV.

I have built 2 brand new systems in the last year. About to build a Haswell when Summer is over. I always add a video card because I can't stand on-board video. I even had to put a wireless card in one of my systems where an ethernet cable was not an option. I think it has slowed down, but there is still a large crowd out there. I even see it gathering people where it never has before. Console gamers are moving to build there own computers for expandability, options, and control over their own system. The n00b builders such as, my son, who wanted a computer. He asked me before 3rd grade and I told him to bring home good grades. He did and I bought parts and showed him how to put it together and he did it all by himself. So, I guess that brings the tally to 3 systems in the last year. :)

It would help if the manufacturers would preinfect their software so we could stop worry about "if" we are infected and move towards just accepting it.

This is actually happening with phones now. just read some of the permissions of Facebook, Chrome, Firefox and a few others. They can take a photo or record audio without your permission.

And if you truly have the disorder or knew someone that truly has it, you wouldn't make that comment. I have it and so does my son. We are not rich and the medications we take for it are incredibly helpful. They work and we are able to get shit done without having the most trivial things distracting us.

Smart ones don't drown themselves in alcohol as it has more adverse effects over time than just forgetting what happened the night before. I prefer to watch a good movie at the theater, but haven't done that in ages. Not because I don't have the money either. However, IF I did have the money I would possibly fly near to or drive to a landmark of some sort to take in the scenery. Come to the Dallas area. The Blue Bonnets among other flowers are in full bloom right now and it's absolutely beautiful.
