Ahh that brings back fond memories of FF13, the finest hallway simulator ever made. And it also taught me a valuable lesson, video game reviews are absolutely worthless. It has a metacritic score of 83 while most reviews admit that you have to wait 20 hours to get to the part that isn't a long corridor. Yep 20 hours of pushing up on the control stick, mashing 'A' randomly when a random encounter is hit and hearing that great banter between the characters which is like a conversation between Jar Jar Binks and the goth kids on South Park.
I don't understand the logic of people like you. What if you find out you have a serious that you can treat? Suppose you have an incurable illness but it won't hit for 60 years? 60 years is a long time in medical research. Suppose it' incurable but you can live your life in such a way as to reduce the chances of it?
Do you also drive to work with a blind fold on because other drivers make you nervous?
Sigh... I remember a time when white heterosexuals males had all the power instead of most of it.
I'm not sure if you're joking or not but just in case you aren't, we don't have a completely solid understanding of where exactly the solar system ends. That's why this comes up like this. Well that and slashdot dupes.
Nasa launches this probe, about the same year that I was born, to study Saturn and Jupiter. Everything goes beautifully so it just keeps on flying. On Valentine's day 1990 just as it's about to leave the solar system they spin the camera around to take the "family portrait". Today it exits the solar system(I know for the 12th time or whatever). Now it just wanders off into the darkness while it's reactor runs down and it's systems shut off one at a time. Who knows, in a few billion years when the sun bakes this planet the golden record might be all that's left of us. Kind of like "The Inner Light" episode of Star Trek, but with less flute.
Star Trek level technology pops up and this is where your mind goes first?
I'm thinking you're a sippy cup is half empty kind of guy.
What is slashdots obsession with the surface rt? A sale from Dell? Has there ever been a time when everything Dell offers hasn't been on sale? This is starting to seem like Slashdot's version of the royal baby.
Right because a laggy game totally justifies you to threaten to butcher the developers family and vivisect their children.
Is Eeyore the OP? Asshole employers exist therefore we should assume the worst and act like asshole employees? Much like the dating world this kind of attitude won't get you far in the business world.
It's probably a bunch of meaningless gibberish but I don't think we can afford to take any chances. I'm going to accept it as my new religion and id suggest you all do the same.
Totally I mean look at these companies. The way they dress down their security. They're pretty much asking for it. I think the blame is 50 50 here. Also a computer's software has a way of shutting down legitimate intrusions.
Pacific Rim has been out for a little over a week and it's already made back it's production budget http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=pacificrim.htm . I'm curious to know what Nerval's Lobster's definition of a Hollywood bomb is.
Absolutely. When people criticize Michael Jackson for allegedly molesting children, I tell them the exactly same thing. It's a fact of life. It's impossible to make music that great without touching a few kids. Likewise it's impossible to write some code without impersonating a high school.
Someone posting absurdly pro Microsoft posts on Slashdot? No I don't think shill is quite the word. I'd have to sum it up with successful troll is successful.
