I got in the habit of moving the bags to the trunk of my car. I usually have at least 4 of them in there at any one time. I prefer the reusable bags to plastic or paper ones when I shop. Having a real handle is a big bonus.

That would be nice. One of the big beefs that I've hear of is that you sell electricity to the grid at wholesale rates, but you purchase it at consumer rates. It's also assessed on a monthly basis, so in the summer when you're cranking out power with solar, you're not paying your power bill, but you're only getting $0.04/KWH. In the winter you're not producing as much and if you've got electric heat you're consuming more from the grid. I've heard many people complain that they'd like to be assessed on a yearly basis, only paying (or being paid) for the net.

Even worse: prisons here are profitable ventures. Prisoners are a valuable commodity. We have an entire industry of prisons, lawyers, guards, and logistics that requires a steady supply of them. Sadly, it's a growth industry as well.
