I've been running near-4K (3200x2400, actually) virtual resolution on physical 2560x1600 for several years. It gives me roughly a 20% boost in productivity over the previous 1920x1200 (which was more productive than its prececessor...)

Given that the general retail rate for used books is 60% of face value, that means the donation is worth about 30% (taking both state and federal tax deductions into account), so my effective printed book-price is 70% of face value. E-books need to be priced fairly against that.
