With this new proposed system I could make money by simply publishing some stupid adds every few weeks?
When they are NOT shown to people I get reimbursed?

Anyone see the flaw in this?
I won't even have to have a real product! Just make ads people don't want to see for products they don't want and that doesn't even exist.

The sentence
"Those OEMs that choose not to comply lose access to Google Mobile Services (GMS) apps like Gmail, Google Play, and YouTube."
should really read:
"The customers of those OEMs that choose not to comply lose access to Google Mobile Services (GMS) apps like Gmail, Google Play, and YouTube."

That's the sad truth...

The problem is it's not RFID. They state it is bluetooth. Further more they claim functionality not even possible/correct with Rope etc. BTLE uses around 0.15 mW or 150 W according to a overview by DigiKey and according to Powercast and their P2110 Powerharvester you can get a few 10's of microwatts from a 3W transmitter at around 40 feet. This tells me it's not fesible.

Baaaaah!
Seems telcos are using phones and contracts to lock people in as much as they can as they know they will otherwise switch operator to one that is not bundling a bunch of services they don't need into a blob and charge a monthly rate for it.

No thanks, I'd rather pay for what I use, and at a acceptable rate. The phone is easily bought unbound and that allows you to use a local subscription when abroad too. Something they really don't like.
