That is one reason why mirroring isn't a backup, and why backups should ideally be off-line.
That's basically how I found out my mirroring was working on a small Linux server (more for hobby)...
# cd
# rm -rf *
D'oh!
What I meant to type was "rm -rf *~", to remove Vim backups of bunch of files.
Only once the word is completed can the finger be lifted off.
Better not be dyslexic around devices of this kind, or it'll stick to your finger indefinitely.
It sure lends the term "StickyKeys" a new meaning!
