Except that it doesn't actually do any of that and never will. Hence the monkey pictures.

I hope in the future I hit the lottery, learn Mandarin, and date Scarlett Johansen.

It's insane that Tether literally "prints money" out of thin air based on absolutely nothing. And they do it at highly suspicious times when Bitcoin is tanking to keep the price afloat.

I 100% think Tether absolutely could collapse within 12 months and expect it to knock a good 50% or more off the entire crypto market.

The EU was in the middle of like a 30 year, many billions/trillions plan to build a superstructure around Chernobyl for "another hundred years" containment deal. Science channel had an hour special on it recently. Would be very bad if that was damaged/affected at all. Obviously its at least delayed as long as this is going on.

"The fact that the SEC (and similar institutions worldwide) don't see fit to do anything about it is just mind-boggling to me."

It would be one thing if the large exchanges were US based, employing thousands of people and paying billions in taxes. Like I get when people say "shut down Facebook" and the government is like, uhhhh, they employ 500K people....

But they are all foreign companies, employing virtually no US citizens, while draining their bank accounts. Do you know anyone with a real, paying job in Crypto? Of course not, because they all exist in Aruba and Bahammas and other regulation havens and are run by Russian and Chinese founders. Wonderful!

Shut the garbage down, make it harder to buy Crypto than to buy weed online.

Comment Re:The Wild West (Score 1) 146

Much crypto trading is done with Tether, which regularly "prints" billions of dollars based on almost no currency backing. Totally unregulated, supposedly backed by securities and cash, but not audited one bit. When someone asks "where all the money in crypo" comes from, its literally invented in thin air.

When they go belly up, and there will come a day they implode with 100% certainty, the crypto market loses probably 80% plus that day. Maybe more.
