Yeah it's the license. The same principle the RIAA used to tell people they could back up their music, but if their CD's got stolen from their cars/homes, they were obligated to delete the "backups" from their computers after ripping.
Judging by some of the videos I've seen of teenagers bitching about green bubbles, I almost think they'd choose the blue over the shoes.
"a common hobby shared by a lot of people" =/= "all"
Oh, they cared. It's just that those that cared actually admitted they wanted the blue talk bubbles and look like idiots when they do.
I remember hearing we were starting to investigate putting in plants around Yellowstone, but then they detected increased seismic activity and decided not to poke at it...
Even just from a monetary standpoint, it's irresponsible of them to not even try.
Disney has done some shitty-ass stuff, but Mickey is "theirs" and a bunch of merchandise-makers in china/wherever don't (shouldn't) have any right to him.
The version of Mickey due to become PD is the steamboat willie version. No voice, and a fairly primitive look, in terms of body and costume. Even just his ears look substantially different. So maybe the backers don't want to bother with "proto-mickey"
What happened to Winnie the Pooh (Blood and Bone gory horror movie) should not happen to an innocent cultural icon, regardless who owns it.
I'd say the same thing about Woody Woodpecker, Snoopy, Mighty Mouse, Tom/Jerry, etc.... Disney fucked up by not begging, pleading, bribing for an extension. Then again, they do have a LOT of animosity running against them, so maybe they didn't think it would go anywhere.
There's a difference between supporting it and EOL'ing it. If it's a game we paid for, at the same cost as the windows users, it's totally reasonable to expect the mac version to run as long as the windows version of the exact same game. (Team Fortress 2 in my case)
I understand there are back-end development costs, but from a USER standpoint, this is the same as a dealership saying they could no longer work on a red car but the blue ones of the same year and model (the same game) can still be maintained.
OK that's really interesting. Is it possible this is why the talk therapy component along with psilocybin works? I've read they need to try to do certain types of therapies to prevent PTSD within 24 hours or something along those lines... Or is that an oversimplification?
If they could tolerate views opposite theirs and not penalize them with "the algorithm". I'm sick of people just barely right of center having to self-censor everything they say and use cutesy synonyms or alter the pronunciations of words just to avoid demonetization when talking about current events.
Now THIS is where the FCC maybe should stop in and do the subsidies if necessary. If DSL was the only option and they're shutting it down and not putting in fiber to replace it, the wireless bandwidth caps should be regulated to where they have similar prices and limitations as their previous plans.
If ALL are subpar, none are. They are simply par.
