I don't understand why people still use horizontal task bars when vertical ones work so much better.
Because not everyone is exactly like you? What works best for you does not mean it will work best for everyone.
Yes, but with actual art there is a tangible object that you can say "I own that". NFTs are essentially nothing.

I don't need or want a "proactive" digital assistant application that will constantly ping me about stuff when I'm busy doing other stuff. Make the stupid thing respond when I need it, and keep quiet when I don't.

Studies showed that it *did* have an effect on Covid19 in vitro (IOW in a test tube). Unfortunately the dosage needed would be extremely toxic if given to a human.

That's what I did with two of my old LPs from back when I was young. Judas Priest's Defenders Of The Faith and Dokken's Tooth And Nail are proudly hanging on my wall (the first two albums that I ever purchased). They were well used too.
I'm sure they'd play if I bothered with a turntable, but why?
