1: media capability's are poor 2: dvd plaback is worse than a PS2 3: game will require 4 disks this year 4: no blu-ray. 5: $50 more and u have a blu-ray 6: $50 and you yourself can upgrade the HDD to a 500GB in the future. 7: $50 more and you have xbox live gold, or a PS3 so all-in all it's a pretty bad deal vs the competition. and unlike others i am not an anonymous coward! so if you feel like i am a troll, just think what of what u are first ;)

luckily for you the rest of the world doesn't want cheap... nowhere in europe you will see products as cheaply made as in America. motherboards and electronics which don't even comply with EU law is being dumped in the US, so there is a big fat market out there for quality products and apple proves it.

Microsoft Poland Photoshops Black Guy To White One 964

wanted writes "If you look at Microsoft's Poland business solutions Web site, you will probably not notice anything odd about the main picture. However, when you compare it with the original English version, you can see that someone decided that showing black people in Poland is probably not going to be convincing to business. They just Photoshopped the head of a white guy in for the black one, in an amateurish way, leaving his hand unchanged. (Here's a mirror in case something should happen to the original.)" We noted a few months back that the city of Toronto had done something similar.

NASA To Team Up With Russia For Future Mars Flight 318

xp65 writes "NASA has invited Russia to carry out a joint manned flight to Mars, the head of NASA's Moscow office said on Tuesday. Russia is currently planning to send its own expedition to Mars some time in the future. Marc Bowman told an international aviation and space conference in Moscow that the Mars mission should take advantage of the achievements made by the International Space Station and use a multinational crew."

DOJ Gives Oracle Approval To Buy Sun 162

k33l0r writes "The BBC is reporting that the US Justice Department has approved Oracle's takeover of Sun Microsystems. The acquisition gives Oracle control over (or a leading role in), among other things, Java, MySQL, (Open)Solaris, ZFS, OpenOffice, and the NetBeans IDE. 'The European Commission has still to rule on the deal, a step that will be required before it can close. That body has indicated it will issue an initial opinion on Sept. 3, according to the Wall Street Journal. It may OK the deal at that time or launch a four-month probe of it. ... The Justice Department ruling came earlier than expected, a possible response to Sun's declining revenues and precarious business position in a steep recession, as the required reviews proceeded.' We first discussed the deal back when it was announced in April."
