Why is it that type of signature always follows a comment as dumb as that one that you typed up there? Like, did it make sense in your head, but you just struggled to put it into words? Where I'm at, there are a number of "uphill" onramps with short merge zones. And a shit load of "on-off" interchanges, think a cloverleaf type, where the people trying to come up to highway speeds are sharing the same lane as the people who are coming down from freeway speeds to try and negotiate a 270 degree turn. Here's one of the more egregious ones in my area. 35w and 694 are both 65 MPH. You get 500 feet to accelerate from 25-35MPH up to 65-75MPH, all while avoiding the people who are doing the opposite.

I drive a Gen-6 Legacy, which (allegedly) has 170HP. On the uphill entrances, and the stupid fucking cloverleafs, it's about all that car can do to hit 65-75 before requiring to merge. It's definitely underpowered, and can be frustrating. But, you are accurate in your assessment, that frustration isn't (all) the car. It's the idiots around here that don't know how to design a freeway interchange.

At least we're getting into requirements now. You need to get up to speed in a reasonable time to get onto the freeway. Yeah, a 100hp car isn't going to get the job done as well as it should. It'll get you there, but not without frustration. A 300hp sedan will be just as sufficient for that task as the Hellcat, without being violently overkill

I run a quad core junk processor from 2018, it currently still meets my needs just fine. If MS forces my hand and makes me upgrade to keep Windows supported I'll probably end up rocking a octa-core junk processor from 2020. I just don't need the latest and greatest, it's a waste of money for me.

When the speed limit is 55MPH an 800 horsepower Hellcat is just as ill suited for the task as the 100hp Civic. The only difference is the Hellcat is objectively "cooler", which is essentially just another way to compare penis size.

The most intensive task I do with my desktop is working with large Excel sheets. Paying for a top-end processor and video card don't make a lot of sense when they would barely be above idle 99% of the time. The only reason I won't/can't upgrade to 11 is my rig doesn't have a TPM. And until an upgrade makes sense, which probably isn't for a couple more years, I'll be on Windows 10. Or, I'll have finally bit the bullet and ditched Windows.

I actually didn't mind Comcast/Xfinity from a service perspective, it was rarely down and always hit the advertised speeds. But I would agree with your assessment of their customer service. An absolute nightmare if you had to fix something from a billing or service perspective. And the annual call to extend my "introductory rate" was always a good time. The final nail in their coffin was the data cap. I went over one month, and their "threat" to charge me an EXTRA $200 if I did it again was enough for me to finally give them the boot. It helped that 5G Home Internet became available at my house around the same time.

100% agree. The only reason they haven't is because of the exclusivity deals. They are the only game in town here. I can get DSL at 20/4 or some shit, there's a couple WISPs but they are far to expensive for what they offer, and then Verizon/TMobile 5G. To be perfectly honest, I'm happy with my Verizon setup. It's not as fast as cable, but I swore I'd never give Comcast another nickel unless they change their data cap policy.
