Comment Re:What about IAR? (Score 1) 186

I respectfully disagree with you. While it is 'defined', the very definition is vague, subjective and open to interpretation. For example: "If the rules prevent you from improving or maintaining Wikipedia, ignore them." Define "improve" and "maintain". An agent for another may feel that they are "improving" an entry by providing their clients information or point of view. Same for "maintaining" their client's entry. IANAL, but there seems to be way more than enough room to argue one way or the other.

Another bullshit headline designed to gather hits. Big government launches websites all the time. Why doesn't "big news" cover it? Because it isn't sexy. How many times has the slashdot effect crashed or rendered a site otherwise unreachable. So what do you think the effect of millions upon millions of hits to a site wouldn't cause problems? Everybody who seems to "know" what the problem is should reach out and help fix it. Otherwise keep it to yourself.

HIS name is in those files as well. Should be interesting to see what dirt is dug up about MI5 and GCHQ. The GCHQ is collecting and storing "vast quantities of global email messages, Facebook posts, internet histories and calls" and sharing them with the NSA. NSA analysts reportedly "share direct access to the system." (http://www.policymic.com/articles/50333/gchq-the-british-are-spying-on-us-more-than-the-nsa-is)

Absolutely the same story here (and there are probably a lot more on /. than would care to admit to it). I was bullied mercilessly, beat up, tormented on a daily basis. Honestly can say it was worse than what was described. The only two reasons I never went through with taking my own life at that age was: 1. It's a cowards way out that rewards the tormentors and punishes the ones that love you and that kept me going. 2. My Parents did their best to support me and convince me that the sociology of Jr High School was meaningless in the grand scheme of things and supported my efforts to find my voice (which I did in High School, first as a writer for the school newspaper and then as the lead singer in a rock band. Kids will ALWAYS be vicious bastards acting out like Lord of the Flies, and there is no amount of explanation that can satisfy you at that age. I was lucky enough that my Parents (who recently passed) were as involved as they were. I'm also lucky they lived long enough to see me become a successful business owner who sees many of my old bullies at the Gas Station or the Wal-Mart. You can't change these kids behavior institutionally or in a jail. You need to start at home injecting a moral code and respect for others.

I have to agree with you on *all* points. I really enjoyed the first film and was hoping the second one would live up to it. The character exploration felt authentic - and let's remember, these are characters who have been dissected over the decades in multiple mediums. I look forward to the next outing and like yourself, hold hope (A New Hope?!? LOL) for a Abrams helmed SW saga.

I agree. This isn't Facebook after all; people on LinkedIn tend to be more business task oriented. Of course, bloking someone is a great option, but if they are stalking you, social networks are the least of your issues. I can find out anything I want on anyone for the low low price of 29.95.... LOL I joke, but when are they going to put controls on some of the "background check" services? They are giving out the same personal information, culled from many sources (including social networks) at a much higher level and without any conditions on sale.
