Its well and good, but now that mobile phones have been regulated to have a mandatory "Emergency call" feature when locked. I can't even imagine how many false calls they get from this

What is scary is that my blackberry becomes pretty much useless without a battery pull after calling an 911. I'm guessing this is to let the user know when they have accidentally called 911, but its extremely annoying when you do call in a emergency and have your phone bricked afterwards.

I still can't believe Rockstar had a mandatory recall on a game where you play a criminal, and the games primary objectives including assisinations, pimping, thieving and selling dugs because a third party patch enabled clothed sex scenes. Its almost so daft that I can't believe it. All this uproar over something that everyone does, in a game that glorifies acts thats are illegal almost everywhere and seen as unacceptable by almost everyone on this planet.

My carries (telus) charges the company $8 / MB for my overage on my BB in Canada. Sadly thats much better then it was before a rival launched the iPhone here. Before that we were paying $60/month for a 8MB plan, with $20/GB overage.

I guess its all what you make of it. I had a full time job through University, and graduated debt free. Had three job offers when I did and now have a great job.

None of my friends took the same route though and either had family money or piled on the debt while taking next to useless arts classes. Now most of them have crap jobs and are talking about grad school.

So like I said its what you make of it. If you look at it as a 'good time' then you will get nowhere, but if use it as an experience to better yourself then you will be rewarded.

I have broke the screen on two blackberries. Should I be be trying to organize a witch hunt? or should I just stop sitting on my phone? The iPhone is very popular right now and is thus getting alot of press. I don't know if this is a real issue, but currently a handful of stories makes me think its like me sitting on my phones.

I had a first generation titanium G4 powerbook. It was a piece of crap. The stress of the monitor opening and closing caused the titanium to crack on four cases. I was lucky to have applecare. The slot loading DVD player also had a habit of scratching disks, and about once a day the surface where your wrists rest would shock you.

DVR's are still out of the financial reach off many people. Maybe its because i'm fresh out of uni and most of my friends got useless degrees, but in my group of friends I'm the only one with a PVR. Shaw up here in Western Canada still wants $600 for a HD-PVR, which is out of reach of alot of people.

Even with a PVR I find myself watching alot of live television for two reasons. One, you really need to watch sports live. Two, my cable signal is garbage and if watching live a sudden drop out for a second or two is an annoyance, but if I'm watching on on the PVR the recording fails. So while the PVR is great to set a bunch of stuff on season passes and have something to watch in my free time, its just not there ... at least from my provider ... to depend on for something you 'have to' watch.
