I'm one of the types that drink only soda at restaurants. I find it to be more consistent, and tastier than water. Once in a while I'll order water if I'm having a beer or I really need it, but most of the time I find it undrinkable at most places. At home, I'll drink water by the gallon, I have really good water at home, straight from the tap at that.

I aggree, this does sound like an awesome feature. Even though I have a windows install for games, having a VM use it while I'm preping taxes would be great. Wouldn't Windows do its normal "OMG, my hardware changed, FML" freakout session though? I don't recall how much exposure the hardware gets through VM.

I lived west of Dayton at the time and there was countless corn fields that had heavy damage along with many roofs with missing shingles

Odd thing about it was that at the time I was living in a trailer park and nothing happened there, power didn't even go out. All my co-workers in Dayton had to use the gym at the office to shower. Myself? I left for my honeymoon cruise that morning :)

For a while I was developing on a Windows 7 box and having to support XP systems. Things I found I really liked and missed working on the XP box were:

  • Real 64bit support
  • Full sym-link support. (Yes you can install junction on XP, but it wasn't safe to use in Explorer)
  • Aero Snap - Dragging windows to edge of screen to take up half the screen (does not need Aero active)
  • The 'Users' folder.....finaly Unix like user data speration.
  • File searching in explorer windows. Still needs work but very much improved over XP
  • Expanded options on the copy/move files dialogs. (kinda mixed on this though since the new dialogs slow the operation down)

I'm a little disappointed in hiding some of the configuration panels behind "user friendly" summary screens but in all I would recommend upgrading

A car puts a barrier between the driver and the weather; a bike does not.

Never heard of a rain coat? When I was riding my bike to work I would have to look at the weather, and add 10 degrees to determine what to wear because I would be warmer riding. In the dead of winter my car heater didn't even kick in until I pulled in my driveway.

A car has enough metal surface to trigger induction loops connected to traffic signals; a bike does not.

FALSE. My bike triggers the loops all the time. I did find one that didn't trigger, but a quick email to the city and a day or two wait fixed that issue. He said that it needed tweaked and that my 30lb bike with aluminum wheels wasn't an issue.

A car can carry passengers larger than 50 lbs (22 kg); a typical bike trailer cannot.

FALSE. My trailer supports 100lb, and it is a toys-r-us special. My rear rack has a 50lb limit.

A car can travel on controlled access highways; a bike cannot.

Big deal, a bike can travel on a MUT, a car cannot
