You seem to simplify two very complexe individuals based on very little.

What you did get right, IMHO, is that they both focus heavily on liberty.

Things Heinlein has said:
"Ayn Rand is a bloody socialist compared to me,"
"I'm so much a libertarian that I have no use for the whole libertarian movement."

His ideas different on the economy and the free market though: "The justification for free enterprise is not that it's more efficient, but that it's free."

Heinlein saw his work as "an invitation to think-not to be-lieve."

But also, todays Slashdot isnt the same as early Slashdot.
It flipped at some point and the interesting conversations or insight I used to see pretty much disapeared.

Might also have to do with people having a high time preference vs a low time preference and wanting immediate returns or results, without being able to evaluate on a longer time horizon.

MAID is the 3rd cause of deaths in Canada at the moment.
There have been many articles on how Veterans affaires and others have offered MAID to people who did not ask for it, because they arent receiving the help they need and are suffering, due to lack of ressources to offer the help.

When you have medical professionals pushing it on people, this changes the whole morality of MAID.

Heck, there was a clothing chain store (from Quebec), SIMONS, which had an AD promoting MAID that went viral. Telling the story that its beautiful to accept that a specific person let go and used MAID to alleviate her suffering.

In articles following the VIRAL video, a friend of that woman said she never wanted MAID, but because she wasnt getting the help she had a right to get under our universal healthcare and she was offered and convinced to use MAID, she is now no longer with us.

Canada is adding mental illeness next year and the following they are adding children. In Canada children do not need parents consent for most medical procedures starting at 14 years old.

This is getting scary fast.

What is "Nucking Futs" about enforcing property rights and contracts?

I mean contracts are the bedrock of our society, if you don't enforce them... what would it look like?

Agreed upon terms, if one side doesnt fulfill their requirements, the other side is "harmed".

"Good ideas don't require force" means not forcing people INTO contracts using coercion.
But people freely contracting together isnt force, and enforcing them is moraly right, as one party is harmed.

If you are trying to say that inflation is only caused by greed, that is a nice narrative you where fed by state economists.

Inflation is always a monetary problem.

Why do you think the one tool central banks use to curb inflation is interest rates?
Higher rates reduces, stems or stops borrowing.
Borrowing expands money because of fractional reserve banking. Every loan creates money out of thin air that did not exist before.
Massive spending by governments does the same, because they spend on credit.

High interest rates shrinks the monetary supply.
