I'm just pointing out the flaws in the "just pay everyone more" argument.
Right, because "don't give raises to anyone while prices keep going up anyway" is working SO well.

According to the RWNJs tRump is the 2nd coming of Christ (actually much closer to the anti-christ but whatever). What's your point?
those who passed high school PE with a "C" for attendance?
That was me until one semester I was denied being on the honor roll because of a "C" in PE. I wasn't a bad athlete, just not an exceptional one like the jocks.
My mom (who was a secretary at the high school at the time) read the riot act to the coach, who then promptly gave me "B"s from then on.
Even Obama can't defend the prize. Don't even need to try.
IIRC Obama didn't even think he deserved it. I like the guy, but a Nobel Peace Prize? Not while he was POTUS.
Han shot first
Han shot ONLY.
According to more and more polls out now....the Biden 2nd term thing isn't going to happen.
Polls this early aren't a good indication of how the general election will go. Useful for primaries perhaps.
And polling had also predicted a "red wave" back in 2022, when in reality it was a wet fart. Polling is done by phone calls, which younger people tend to not answer unknown numbers due to scammers and robodialers. Hence, polls tend to reflect older, more conservative voters instead of the entire electorate.
Yeah, Republicans love the Orange One, granted. Democrats hate him, no surprise there. Independents generally don't like him either, and he can't win without them.
I had low expectations for Biden early on, but he's far, far surpassed my expectations. I'm an anti-authoritarian lefty, and he's done a lot of good advancing some progressive policies. Biden is old, but so is tRump. Comparing their respective physical and mental conditions Biden wins hands down. I also prefer my POTUS to not be facing 90+ criminal indictments, but you do you.
My $0.02, YMMV
Pick one and stay there.
it's all too easy to hate unethical people, but they actually deserve our pity on their pathetic journey into hell
Pity? Nah, I prefer to feel schadenfreude in those cases.
"Slightly"? Hoo boy....
We as a species have the ability to focus on more than one existential threat at a time. Avoiding nuclear war is easy; just don't start one. Dealing with climate change is much, much more difficult, as it has already started.
That's perfectly fine to use it for fertilizer. We need to quit burning the stuff for energy.
The taskbar in 11 just happens to work how I like, though I realize it doesn't for many others. I just want to know when they are adding the "show all" toggle for the notification tray.
I don't understand why people still use horizontal task bars when vertical ones work so much better.
Because not everyone is exactly like you? What works best for you does not mean it will work best for everyone.
Yes, but with actual art there is a tangible object that you can say "I own that". NFTs are essentially nothing.
Adding Copilot, cool. Will I be able to disable it?
I don't need or want a "proactive" digital assistant application that will constantly ping me about stuff when I'm busy doing other stuff. Make the stupid thing respond when I need it, and keep quiet when I don't.
