And to calm your nerves, I'd encourage you to look into the colloquial connotation of the phrase "He's my nigga"- it's much more innocuous than you think; more akin to "That's my Man!" than it is to "I will give this person my vote based solely on the fact that he's black." Matter o' fact, when your presumed interpretation is actually verbalized, it sounds almost silly, doesn't it?
