To put it in other words, Dhar seems to think that Google Search is some magic algorithm that sits in a bright room and answers queries. While the reality is that Google Search is a complex *product* with hundreds, if not thousands, of people working 24/7 (in 8 hours shifts :) ) to support and improve it.

It is not about how long does it take to trace. The thing is, once you made a call, there will be a record created at every relay server you passed through and eventually it will be possible to find the exact device you were calling from or, for a cellphone, your approximate location. No need to stay on the line.

There is no secret team on the bench. The most qualified people are already working on it. All that would change would be the bank account their paychecks are drawn from.

For the sake of the argument, lets assume that this is true. The thing is that right now they are acting in the best interest of the small group of TEPCO investors. If government hires them, they will be acting in the best interest of the government and -- presumably -- public. This is a critical difference.
