To put it in other words, Dhar seems to think that Google Search is some magic algorithm that sits in a bright room and answers queries. While the reality is that Google Search is a complex *product* with hundreds, if not thousands, of people working 24/7 (in 8 hours shifts :) ) to support and improve it.

I think the funny part is that if somebody proposed the new tax to fund extra police force in the district, same people would go apeshit over it.

It is not about how long does it take to trace. The thing is, once you made a call, there will be a record created at every relay server you passed through and eventually it will be possible to find the exact device you were calling from or, for a cellphone, your approximate location. No need to stay on the line.

And people from tribes living in a jungle are even more free. Of course they have a far greater chance to be eaten by a wild animal, but isn't that a small price to pay for your freedom?

So, why don't you just emigrate to one of those countries? I'm pretty sure Somalia has very flexible immigration laws.

For the sake of the argument, lets assume that this is true. The thing is that right now they are acting in the best interest of the small group of TEPCO investors. If government hires them, they will be acting in the best interest of the government and -- presumably -- public. This is a critical difference.

I think the irony is that this move will likely make their email communication *less* secure and more easily accessible by foreign intel.
