BullionVault operates a 24-7 electronic market in gold bullion open to both retail and professional traders. Their systems handle thousands of daily transactions from both human traders and bots operating through their API. If Linux has reached the world of hundred year old assaying firms, and Swiss vaults buried in mountains, can final world domination be too far away?"

WOW... Now that brings back memories... I loved Terminate! Telemate / ProComm Plus had NOTHING on Terminate... That was the most feature rich terminal dialer I have ever had the pleasure of using... I miss those days... never got the Easter Egg though...

'While Apple has done a great job of developing media applications for beginners (the iLife suite is a good example of this), they could use a boost on the professional side. Granted, Final Cut Studio has become the standard when it comes to professional video editing, and Logic Studio is a great professional solution for editing audio, but what about the graphics and Web design segments of the market? If people want tools to support these interests on the Mac, then they turn to Adobe.'"

"Many federal agencies are not planning to move to Microsoft's newest operating system, Windows Vista, anytime soon. Several agency chief information officers said they either see no business reason to move from Windows XP to the new operating system, or are budgeting and planning for the transition in 2009 or beyond."

The government has also proposed a certification system for Web sites, blog hosters, mobile-phone operators and Internet service providers, identifying them as government-approved sources of information if they adhere to certain rules."

From the article, "In a study released on Monday entitled, "The State of the Console," Nielsen Media Research found that 41.1 percent of households with televisions in the U.S. now have gaming consoles. That number represents an 18.5 percent increase since 2004, according the research firm, who used a sample of 12,000 TV-viewing households for its report." s31523 writes: "Vista has been out for some time now, and it has many people asking "Should I upgrade?" BBC business editor Tim Weber details his experience as the "Vista Trap". The consensus seems to be, as the article says, "Wait for half a year until the driver issues are settled and then buy a new PC". I find it somewhat ironic that the numerous issues that people have with Vista, driver problems, software compatibility, lack of support, etc. are all akin to the problems people mention when getting a Linux Distro working right."
