A massive rally is one thing, a month of anarchy without a clearly defined goal (or with demands as ridiculous as 'abolish the police') is quite another. Usually, when a protest turns violent, the peaceful protestors quickly condemn the looting and vandalism, rather than cheer it on and go back for more the next day.

Lockdowns are not a solution. They are to buy time and prevent hospitals being overwhelmed. Even if a long and brutal lockdown can eliminate the virus in one country, it'll inevitably return, from elsewhere in the world, as soon as borders open up. And the population will have minimal immunity when it does.

Try developing anything significant without a mouse+keyboard. Also without a proper/exposed file system... Yeah, there are iPad keyboards and that overpriced stylus, that the OS is still completely touch-centric, with jumbo-sized UI designed elements for fat fingers. It will be interesting to see how they've tried to adapt a complex dev environment to that UI system.

My guess is that it'll be, like everything 'appified', massively cut down and dumbed down.

You can't write code on them, do graphic design or 3D modelling or CAD or game development. You can barely play action games on them. You certainly don't want to do large amounts of typing on them. You wouldn't write a book or even create a non-trivial spreadsheet on one. For all of those, a mouse and keyboard combined with one or more large monitors is *vastly* superior.
