In general, people will trade privacy/choice for convenience.

Exactly. Trademark law still protects Mikey Mouse, so while someone could sell or show Steamboat Willie they certainly will have to be careful how they Mickey Mouse as it is trademarked and likely to result in costly litigation with Disney.
So careful as to just not bother with any verbs at all.

Buddy of mine just uses an old PC, running Linux, and streams via web browser, with wireless keyboard/mouse for control.
How does that setup get around the spying? Isn't any of the spying just {ACCOUNT} viewed {CONTENT} which could easily be done in the browser too?
