Intel doesn't make graphics, how could you say that the non-existent graphics are shit? Game's have graphics that are rendered by processors, and AMD + intel are rendering the same graphics as each other for any game.

I feel bad for feeding this obvious troll, but I find it surprising that this was modded up as insightful.

Google Defends Privacy Policies 114

adeelarshad82 writes "Google responded to a letter from 10 international privacy commissioners who criticized the company's approach to privacy, insisting that Google protects its customers and has moved quickly to make changes regarding Google Buzz. In a letter to the commissioners, global privacy counsels for Google stated, 'We are committed to being transparent with our users about the information that we collect when they use our products and services, why we collect it, and how we use it to improve their experience.' The April inquiry from the officials included privacy commissioners from Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, and the UK."

Yes I do, I'll buy two copies even because i don't give a shit about DRM or not. I buy the game cause its fun.

BTW you don't need an active internet connection to play single player at all according to Dustin Browder. There is one internet validation of your game as you install it, and other than that you don't ever have to connect to the internet to play single player.

You need internet to play multiplayer, which makes sense. The only thing they've disallowed is people playing a private LAN in the middle of nowhere where no internet connection can be had. You can still have LAN parties with your friends and play LAN custom games through the battle.net interface.

Admit it, you're rage is unfounded and has no basis in reality.

Actually it's almost inevitable that organic compounds made it to earth via asteroids at some point. Organic compounds are really common on other planets and moons even in our solar system.

Whether or not the asteroids started the evolution of life on earth is hard to tell, but does it really matter? This is just one more way to explain why earth billions of years of ago sparked life.

Their theory is plausible at the least.

Berkeley Gets Willow Garage Robot To Fold Towels 99

kkleiner writes "Researchers at UC Berkeley used Willow Garage's PR2 robot to fold towels. The UCB programming used some innovative visual scanning techniques, allowing the PR2 to pick up a towel, find its corners, and fold it on a table perfectly. According to the paper presented at the 2010 ICRA (PDF), the robot successfully completed 50 out of 50 attempts to fold a single towel, and also folded 5 out of 5 towels when they were presented in a group. Is watching a robot do laundry really that exciting? Hell yes — wait until you see the video! UC Berkeley used a Willow Garage robot to develop their own sophisticated robotics program. That validates the whole premise of the PR2 — faster development by letting researchers use a common platform. Score one for open source robotics!"
