This is one of the great geek myths. People have been claiming this for over 100 years, but the overall trend is that average hours worked isn't changing (or specifically increasing for women; see link below). I'll leave it as an exercise to the reader why technological advancements tend to give added benefits to the richest parts of society and not the rest.

Sounds very nice, but this is easily falsifiable. I order my groceries online (takes about 5 min per week), and receive them by delivery (about 2 min to unbox and put in the fridge). That's less time than it even takes to get dressed to go outside.

You miss my point. It's the exact same argument that the NSA put forth a week ago that FISA shot down at that time. If a lawsuit was determinative this week, then it should have been last week as well. The argument of why didn't change, yet FISA flip-flopped when it happened in practice.
