Journal Journal: Thank you for serving your country. Now piss off. 8

According to the VA:

There is no such thing as Gulf War syndrome, even though U.S. and foreign veterans of the war report more symptoms of illness than do soldiers who didn't serve there, a federally funded study concludes.

Ok. Fine. We are 15 years removed from the First Gulf War and we're still "researching" and "determining" what level of benefits these folks should be given?

What the fuck are you talking about!?

So, my Irish host Big Blue this weekend. So excited - I'm counting down... Auburn scares me right now. So much speed, very much like an Auburn team of 20 years ago and a guy named Bo. LSU is young and full of inexperienced, but talented players. They have yet to face a real opponent. This week we have Auburn hosting LSU. HUGE game!

Yeah... so, Cal wasn't ready for the big boy league. Give 'em time. Seeing LSU play and how quick they are, I gotta say that Florida may not finish in the top 5. But I won't. Florida has more talent and a better coach. My top 3 remain unchanged.

The wife slapped a paint brush in my hand at 8AM. I got my Home Depot groove on and repaired the drywall where the original home owner had glued a tacky bamboo mirror right on to the naked drywall - idiot! Some spackle, sealer, and texture and everything was good as new.

Never, ever write specs while listening to Korn.

I contacted the vendor for whom we're creating a new interface and chewed the guy a new one when he argued with me about field inputs. Hmmm... could it be the music?

Never, ever code while listening to Korn.

My code is just too damn angry to work. That IS the reason. NO! I did not fuck up my own service tier! NO! NO! NO! I did not comment out the wrong lines... NO!

Ok... maybe... but damnit! It's KORN'S FAULT!

Should we weight that which he did at 17 over that which he did in the subsequent 61-years? Including winning a Nobel Prize for Literature? And promoting peace over aggression?

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales said Tuesday that President Bush personally blocked Justice Department lawyers from pursuing an internal probe of the warrantless eavesdropping program that monitors Americans' international calls and e-mails when terrorism is suspected.

So, the question is: did our President believe himself to be acting within his prescribed Constitutional powers? Or not?
