Most people don't realize that getting to orbit takes almost an ORDER OF MAGNITUDE more energy than getting to space (suborbitally). Given that Branson has taken 10 years to get (almost) to commercial suborbital flight, I wouldn't hold my breath for Virgin Galactic anytime soon. I suspect that running commercial suborbital operations will be more complex and difficult than he suspects, but I'm still glad he's doing it.

I mean, what the FUCK? The land of freedom and liberty. That's what I was always taught. We have a Constitution, which includes protections against unreasonable search. And now my FUCKING GOVERNMENT is doing pretty much anything you can conceive of in the name of spying on everybody including the people of the United States. They are so FUCKING PARANOID that EVERYTHING is on the table, including the privacy and liberty of the citizens. I lower my head in FUCKING SHAME as to what has become of this country.

So you want to reduce use of fossil fuels? No technology is foolproof. Nuclear has its dangers. Solar energy would occupy acres of animal habitats. EVERYTHING is a tradeoff. The best solution of all is fewer humans. Do you care to sacrifice your ability to reproduce to help those eagles? I didn't think so.

How about a more balanced view? How many eagles would really die? How does that compare to the dangers from CO2, from other technologies? What about the habitat ruined by oil wells, natural gas wells, fracking, etc.? It's really not at all as simplistic as this posting implies.

Today, it's all about being labeled a "Terrorist", and the government continues to go crazy against civil liberties -- only with much more ability to snoop.

The ability to deny coverage to higher risk individuals has been eliminated with Obamacare, and that's a good thing. If you are filthy rich you cover yourself. If you are poor you are covered by the government. If you were middle class and had some health condition you were screwed if you didn't have employer-based insurance. It didn't take much to be denied - things like macular degeneration or asthma or hyperthyroidism would deny you. One big sickness away from bankruptcy. In the richest country in the world.
