Seems like an even stupider story to me. What's the point of mentioning this in the news? They just bought a lot of IPv4 addresses, so bloody what? Why would anyone try to stop a company from buying IPv4 addresses from another company? What a waste of time!

I really don't think any of these revolutions have been initiated with the hope that western countries will come to their rescue. People have realized the power of masses and these revolutions have only been against the dictatorship. That sort of answers the question that there probably won't be a revolution like this in Iran. Bahrain, likely, Saudi Arab, depends on how the Saudis handle their own. Also, social media and modern technology have just aided to the cause, they are not really the reason behind revolutions, as some would believe. As far as "our" cold war efforts are concerned, those efforts actually led to the installation of dictatorship in the middle-east in the first place, helping the cause and control of US. Yes, it is better for these countries to actually start building a political infrastructure as these kind of oppressive monarchies can't go on forever. The instability will be there, but it all really depends on how well they fair in avoiding a clash within themselves. Of course, only time will tell.

Wind is a company with cheaper rates and cheaper call quality (comparatively). It is for people who can not afford the higher rates of Robellus (Rogers, Bell, Telus), hence the dearth of top quality handsets. They do offer lower end phones from Huawei, Nokia, RIM etc. and that serves the purpose all right.

Indeed, it's a very small shift, but looking at the past 30 odd years and the calamities and "jitters" earth has faced, don't you think it's adding up to something significant? I really believe that the number of natural disasters will increase in the future, since we have royally screwed up things under the sea (oil), above the clouds (ozone) and everything in between.

You may need to connect to App Store or iTunes for NFC to work, as that is the only way Apple can become the middle man and milk money from both sides. Does anyone know how secure NFC is over the air against third person snooping around?
