Unless you pirate it it is not free
You may Save a few bucks using pirated software but you'd better stay with the original Play store even if it costs you some dollars to register your app and at lest you make a developer happy for his job
Well as I read this article, I just apt-get upgrade my system and voilÃ, vulnerability fixed. This is not to say "haha Debian p0wnz you" because any *serious* distro would be that reactive, I just find that's awesome to have patches available so quickly after a flaw is found.
Well yes and no, patent protects innovation because you have a monopoly on your idea. Then up to you to make other researches on new products with the money gained.
But if you use a patent, you're forced to reveal your idea and prepare your competitor to use it later. You're never forced to patent your idea tho (see Coca-Cola, never patented, receipt never given).
