You can't tell from the pictures of just the device, but in the Pen Test Partners article, the description of the device pretty much explains how it would be almost impossible, or downright terrifying, to try to remove manually...

We discovered that remote attackers could prevent the Bluetooth lock from being opened, permanently locking the user in the device. There is no physical unlock. The tube is locked onto a ring worn around the base of the genitals, making things inaccessible. An angle grinder or other suitable heavy tool would be required to cut the wearer free.

So it sounds like just sliding it off would require your balls to flatten as well - that's the kicker.

I play both. In GTA V, there's still a bunch of fun to be had just running around the open world tearing shit up. That's not the case in the slightest with CP77 as shown in that video. The open world is pretty boring if you're not doing some sort of mission. And I don't know what their plans are for multiplayer, but with how the game has been released and how it looks like it's going to go, I don't hold any high hopes for it. I'm pretty sure that once I'm done with the story and as far as I wanna bother with the side missions, I'll likely never play this game again unless some pretty significant changes are made.

Not buying the argument "their platform, their choice."

That is not an argument, that is a fact. Apple has absolutely no obligation to let anyone at all on its platform. Apple is also perfectly within its rights to pick and choose who it lets in. Apple would also be well within its rights to charge developers differently if it so chose.

The obvious difference is that you don't need to distribute your app on the Play store in order to run on Android, and your don't need to distribute via Steam in order to run on Windows. There are also other app stores on both platforms (Amazon on Android, Microsoft Store on Windows).

IOW, Apple says "this is our platform, you need to pay to play" which, if said by another company, would result in torches and pitchforks.

Doesn't the fact that the torches and pitchforks don't come out against Apple sorta indicate that the majority who buy Apple and the majority who develop for Apple are quite happy giving Apple the cut it demands? I mean hell, if Apple really is robbing everybody, why does everybody stay?

I wouldn't hold out any hope that the ISPs and registrars will absorb the increase.

More likely they'll pass it on to their customers with an extra markup.

Every bit this, just like when the "redemption period" came along. VeriSign charged $40 to "redeem" a domain. Tucows/OpenSRS tacked on another $40. So that $12 renewal up to 30 days after a domain expired magically turned into $92 on day 31.

It was obviously sarcasm with a serious point.

Whatever fuel you're going to need - electric, gasoline, diesel, etc. - you are going to have to bring with you. People don't buy gas in the middle of the woods when off-roading, they refill from a gas can that they brought with them. In the case of electric, you'll either need to bring spare batteries or bring a generator to recharge them. And if you think about it, a hybrid actually makes far more sense off-road where charge/gas infrastructure is non-existent than on-road where charge/gas stations are available.
