Like I said, a very reasonable assessment. BP = mistake, Greepeace = evil egomaniacs. Of course the profit motive for BP was much less evil than the trying to save the earth from the likes of BP, which is the motive that drives Greenpeace. Very reasonable indeed.

you'll see they have pretty solid evidence that this particular type of comet (Jupiter family) had a deuterium/hydrogen ratio in water that is very different from earth, whereas many asteroids (chondrites) have about the same D/H ratio. All they were saying was that this type of comet was not responsible for delivering most of earth's water, which seems reasonable based on their evidence (see figure 3 from the article).

agreed. I really think that it has been shown many times that simple organic molecules plus energy equals more complex organic molecules. That still doesn't help very much with the biogenesis part.

Why is it that astrophysicists always think that biogenesis and evolution have to come at the point of a comet or asteroid? Isn't it also possible that earth created the conditions for life at hydrothermal vents and other potent chemical-energy sources? The conditions at a hydrothermal vent seem much more conducive to biogenesis than an asteroid impact, and the opportunities for prolonged chemical synthesis of many organic compounds would far exceed anything you would get from occasional comet or asteroid strikes.

This is true and well known to the police, and scientists as well. Alcohol inhibits glutamate (excitatory neural) receptors in the brain, so the more you drink the more your brain's activities are depressed. So far that hasn't happened on my system, even with settings pretty much maxed out. But I do get big lag whenever I am being pursued and I turn a corner and leave the ghost image behind indicating the last place I was seen. It is at least a half second delay. Try setting everything to max, and then turn one thing down at a time and see if there is one specific setting that is causing the issue.

Take a look at the PC version and tell me you've seen that much stuff on the screen at once with that much view distance and all the lighting effects.
