I think that the Global Warming scare actually hurts the environmental movement. The theory got elevated to gospel, but there is still not enough evidence to prove human interference is the absolute cause. The fact of the matter is being more energy efficient is better for the Earth, the economy of the world, and quality of human life in general. Using Global Warming Armageddon to scare the masses into going green has not had the affect that was desired. People who were already green-minded just became more green, and those who doubt still haven't changed and in fact probably thumb their noses in defiance. Make environmentalism desirable through economic means and it will catch on much better.
Oh please, child leashes are a God send for toddlers. My kid loves the freedom he gets with his. Of course when the day comes that he actually responds to his name or a firm, "No" will be the day he's too old for it.
...The job it describes consists of archiving all the web content produced by the EOP (Executive Office of the President). Where does it say anything about facebook or myspace?
Wow, knee jerk repsonse. Shivetya was filling in examples for the following statement in the link in question:
The contractor shall include in the information posted by non-EOP persons on publicly-accessible web sites where the EOP maintains a presence both comments posted on pages created by EOP and messages sent to EOP accounts on those web sites. Publicly-accessible sites may include, but are not limited to social networking sites.
That's a big problem with government: they don't compensate high performers appropriately. Furthermore, they routinely compensate poor performers and promote them out of departments.
It's never an upside when you create a job just for the sake of creating a job. Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. Throw him in water and he'll glrugh, glurgh, glurgh drown.
Anything that could be remotely related to harming my liver or destroying my muscle tissue, citation or not, I am going to avoid like the plague.
Not to mention, carbs are my staple food (as they are for most people). They're inexpensive and provide hunger satisfaction.
They don't satisfy your hunger as well as proteins and fats. And that is why we have so many obese people; carbs are easily obtained and easily consumed in large quantities. You are better off with a diet high in protein with moderate carbs and moderate fat. No I am not going to cite, just giving you some friendly advice.
If you are worried about destroying your liver, then avoid your regular fast food trips. This article claims it's the carbs that are the problem.
I welcome the IRS to check my numbers. I know I am honest. I also know that it is right.
Careful what you ask for. They have the means to do it, and an audit can cost you.

So you are saying The Republicans are responsible for ALL the debt before the Democrats got majority? Get your head out from CNN's arse.
I'm sure it makes you feel better that you have a side to pick, but the reality is, both parties are to blame. Don't sit on your laurels and trust any of the politicians. Make them accountable.
The US is insane when it comes to overkill. Half of all taxes go to the military, and our forces dwarf Russia, China, and the "axis of evil" combined.
Wow, you pulled that out of your ass.

21% goes to our dwindling Social Security porgram.
16.6% goes to the DoD
13.3% goes to Medicare
11.2% goes to unemployment
9% pays the interest on national debt
7.2% goes to Medicaid
5% went to the war on terror
2.4% Health and Human Services
etc.
So to summarize: only 21.6% went to the protection of the U.S. whereas well over 60% went to social programs
You must realize that the computer has it in for you. The irrefutable proof of this is that the computer always does what you tell it to do.
