I know the original post said GPS and Camera, but apart from those two the perfect bet would be a hacked Nook Color

Hey - what if it was the other way around? This is silly. The original could have been a European picture with 3 white guys and it order to fit American political correctness a black had to be edited into the picture. Sigh!
Simple fact is - while America have a considerable black population in central or Northern Europe they do NOT, so seeing a black guy at a business meeting is rare. That is not racism but a simple result of very few black people living there.
While not quite as bad as this - I had the battery on a 12 month old iPAQ expand to double size - enough to break the cover. That in itself is not interesting at all. What IS interesting however is that I actually thought HP would be interested in this (in order to prevent this from happening) but they were not - not at all. I contacted the local HP support, I wrote letters, faxes and emails - with absolutely zero reaction except I could buy a new battery if I wanted. They didn't attempt to stop me from talking - they simply weren't interested at all.
Pics are here: ipaq pics
While this one didn't explode it's definitely a faulty battery (the fault happened over a day or two) and I reckon it could easily have caused some damage to the surroundings if only it had been a tad more violent.
Why not use subversion? Files will be accessible using a subversion client (including log + history), as webdav (only current version) and through a standard browser (read-only).

Debian Lenny works absolutely perfect on my Eee PC 1000HD. Everything - and I do mean everything - is working flawlessly using only standard Debian packages (yes - with one extra repository added).
Ahem - did you ever use a thinkpad? Remember that weird folding keyboard they once did? Might look fragile but it won't be. Thinkpads might be ugly as hell (actually I personally don't think they are), unsexy and clumsy but they are solid as a rock.
Ooops - time to set some ulimits
Well - it's hard to say because it's so subjective. It is clearly too big to fit into anything resembling a pocket - so it need to be carried around in some kind of bag - but so would anything with a usable keyboard even the 7 inch version. Still - it is much smaller and MUCH lighter than my "real" laptop - which is a Thinkpad. Since I bought the 1000H the Thinkpad have had a boring life as a desktop computer at home - I simply can't be bothered carrying it and it's power supply around.
