Comment Re:Not this again (Score 1) 17

Your naivety misses the point.

The strategy is to focus on this one time in 2017, pay a little fine, declare no wrong doing, and keep on trucking along.

This is endemic to large online platforms and there is too much money at stake for it to ever go away.

This leaves only 2 choices. You can use the service with the implicit consent this is going to happen (because it always will, legal or not) or don't signup at all.

We get it. You are stuck in 2017.

Look, you voluntarily gave your information to facebook. Facebook sold access like everyone with a fucking brain knew would happen.

I literally don't give a fuck when a slimeball like Zuckerberg and crew took the most obvious action with their data.

I frankly would be surprised if this weren't to happen.

Newsflash #2. All of the data harvesting platforms continue to do the same thing to this very day. Insert Pikachu face when you hear about this new app called Tiktok.

Comment Zelle is not like a credit card (Score 2) 54

The terms of Zelle are pretty clear. There are no reversals like you have with a credit card.

This is good and bad. You better have the product or service in hand when paying by zelle because the only way to undo it is have the party receiving the money Zelle it back to you.

Overall, 214m / 500B = 0.04% fraud. I think any financial service would love to have numbers so low.

Let them? I'm sure those services want to be paid for the content they provide to streaming platforms.

Netflix will run into all of the same bundling problems content providers gave to satellite and cabletv providers.

I'm not saying it's impossible. But it certainly won't be free.

Comment What a waste of time (Score 2) 346

I'm not here to entertain some lazy college professor who doesn't feel like grading.

I do my best work the first time. Constantly being told to revise something that isn't wrong is a fucking waste of time.

In real life once you hit send on the email it is sent. School should prepare you in the same way.
