Thanks for the clarification.
... with a certain probability of kitty in each...
Still can't figure out if the cat is alive or dead since's it's both.
Or right.
Galileo is pretty much the only person in the history of the Church's reign over the Western world that could be said to be persecuted.
Do you really believe this? I think you misspoke.
I think that there is over whelming evidence that the Church has routinely and persistently persecuted many people.
Here's a short list:

Since this process took many millions of years, it's unlikely that you'd be on the wrong side of it in your short life.
The climate is changing rapidly now and that is much more likely to be a threat to you in your lifetime.
I guess you've never heard of bacteriophages (and similar organisms) which do take genes from one organism and put them in another... billions of times every day.
Billions of times a day, natural processes substitute random genes from all different kinds of organisms.
Natural selection takes care of it.
We are not in a Frankenstein movie... more like Rube Goldberg.
What is the difference between selective breeding and genetic modification?... nothing.
GM is more efficient at selecting genes but no qualitative difference.
BTW, mother nature has been doing GM for millions of years and randomly inserting genes across all types of organisms and so far, that seems to be working out just fine.
So please, Keep Calm and Don't Panic.
So you make an assumption on how it works (i.e. continuously broadcasting energy) and then go off on a rant.
First, basic electricity: Continuously broadcasting power without a load (receiver) doesn't waste much power... think of a transformer with no connected load.
Second, the QI system (and this, also) doesn't broadcast power until there is a load connected. They broadcast a short pulse looking for a load and only broadcast power when the load is connected.
Third, I'm probably older than you and still not as senile as you appear to be. GOMFL
That's exactly what debit cards do... deduct directly from your current (checking) account.
In Europe, chip and pin debit cards are common and very secure.

Get a big vat with a sealed lid and immerse the whole thing in mineral oil. It conducts heat much better than air cooling. If the vat is big enough, convection will cool it properly; otherwise get a circulating pump.
NHTSA has recommendations for lots of traffic factors... why not yellow lights?
Just Googled it and it turns out that there is a manual:
http://mutcd.fhwa.dot.gov/
Fact: Yellow light time is set to optimize safety and traffic flow. Federal
guidelines recommend yellow lights last from 3 to 6 seconds. Local authorities
set the duration based on many factors including: traffic volume, speed, roadway
grade and intersection design.

Found this interesting information:
ANSWER: Analysis of data in the most comprehensive study to date (Safety Evaluation of Red-Light Cameras, FHWA HRT-05-048, April 2005) from seven jurisdictions (Baltimore; Charlotte; El Cajon, CA; Howard County, MD; Montgomery County, MD; San Diego; San Francisco) at 132 intersections using red-light cameras found:
A 25 percent decrease in total right-angle crashes;
A 16 percent decrease in injury right-angle crashes;
A 15 percent increase in total rear-end crashes; and
A 24 percent increase in injury rear-end crashes.
Net result is about a wash with a slight advantage to the cameras.
Unfortunately the track record of citizens stopping crime with guns is poor. The gun is much more likely to end up harming someone innocent.
I don't even think police should have guns. They end up shooting innocent people or killing criminals for property crimes and I don't think capital punishment is appropriate for property crimes.
I think it's stupid to believe that you can defend anyone's civil liberties with a gun.
I don't think that many (most, all) gun owners want to kill kids at school.
However, guns end up killing lots of people... by accident or intention. They are inherently dangerous. They are, after all designed to kill and they are very effective.
So, the question becomes... Why do you own a gun?
