Hey Linux pros...

I have a PHP script that goes into my POP account directory and pulls e-mails out of it, parses them, and adds them to a mySQL db.

However...

My mail server (courier) creates those files with permissions of 0600 - meaning PHP can't read them without me manually CHMOD'ing them to 0644 (defeats the point of this script getting them in the first place).

so...

I need one of the following...

a) a shell script to CHOMD all files in that directory to 0644, which I'd put as a cron job every minute or so
b) some way of making courier save with 0644 permissions as default, instead of 0600
c) some way of getting PHP to run as the user (ceejay) instead of its default (nobody)

Anyone got ideas?

Terri Schiavo, the severely brain-damaged woman at the center of a long-running right-to-die court battle, was hospitalized briefly after nursing home workers found what appeared to be needle marks on her arms, a lawyer for her husband said.

Four puncture wounds were found on one arm and one was found on the other arm, said attorney George Felos, who represents Michael Schiavo.

He said the wounds, which appeared to have been caused by a hypodermic needle, were discovered after a 45-minute visit Monday by her parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, who have been fighting Michael Schiavo's efforts to remove his wife's feeding tube.

Felos also said that after the parents' visit, Terri Schiavo was found in "a disheveled state" with her feeding tube wrapped around her back and a medical wrist band pulled up very tight on her arm like a tourniquet.

The righties were going on and on about how suspicious the husband was... but what's going on with the parents?

One of the refutations of Richard Clarke's accusations put forth by the Bush Administration (press secretary McClellan, in this case) is that the White House has no record of Bush being in the Situation Room on the date Clarke says he was told to look at an Iraq connection.

So. On 9/12/2001, Bush didn't use the Situation Room at all? As Jon Stewart says... what on earth are they saving it for?

Faith-Based Aide's Charges Denied

WASHINGTON, January 21, 2003 -- Bush administration officials today denied allegations that the White House lacks a coherent policy-making process and is dominated by a small clique of conservatives aides known as the "Mayberry Machiavellis."

The charges, reported in the current issue of Esquire magazine, were made by John DiIulio, Bush's former top advisor on faith-based initiatives. However, White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said DiIulio was "not in the loop."

Cheney: Clarke's Charges Not Credible

White House counsel Alberto Gonzales says it's unnecessary, because administration officials are duty-bound to tell the truth anyway.
