There's still a few people posting "M$" and rambling about Sony's rootkited CDs (or whatever it was, I've forgotten the details already). Never underestimate the power or a slashdot grudge.

No sir, certainly not. Better not let the family know.
Haha. Sadly no. Google staggers their update roll outs. My N4 got the Lollipop update in mid February, a week before Samsung sent theirs out. Previous updates were much quicker so I'm starting to think that Google is delaying their updates to not piss off other manufacturers so much.
Yeah. My N4 got it's 5.0.x update a week before Samsung rolled it out to their phones. I think Google has been backing down on quick rollouts to not piss off manufacturers, which is sad to see, but that is the Android way.
So, now that we're all frothing at the mouth and getting our pitchforks, has anyone bothered to check if other smart watches or fitness trackers have same issues or it's only Apple's?
Just curious if this is something endemic to the entire category or only the technology Apple used in their watch.
And how many of those tattooed people have their tattoo right on their lower arm/wrist where it would interfere with the watch?
I bet it's a pretty small percentage of the already small(ish) percentage of Apple employees who have tattoos in the first place.
Itunes/apple moved to drm-free music a good five years ago. So, unsurprisingly, the majority of
What music player doesn't support mp4s? You do know that for the past good few years iTunes music has been drm-free right? There are also lots of 3rd party apps that can connect into iTunes for syncing, though, yes, you would still need to spin up your VM and update everything, but that is a choice you made by running *nix. (I assume).
I think even my ancient Rio support mp4 just fine.
Going through my vaccine history was literally the second thing my doctor did when visiting. First thing was asking if I was in good health right now. This was after moving between cities and visiting the doctor for the first time. Their computer system has all my suggested booster shots scheduled until the day I die.
Wouldn't this be the perfect Apple TV? Essentially take an iMac, give it a 40-ish inch screen, tuck in the chin a little bit, and call it a day.
Wait, so we are hating on Apple for giving us more options now?
This is going to seem like magic. But imagine this. If you stop posting in and browsing Apple-related stories, then you will start seeing less and less of them over time.
But, alas, then the world would not know how cool you are.
It's fun to make this just bout a cake. But what happens when all on staff nurses/doctors in an ER refuse to help 'the gay' or the local utility company - aka someone with a monopoly - decides that they won't deal with 'them' at all?
What about state/municipal services. It's not too far fetched to think that all the clerks in the whatever-departments-hands-out-business-licenses would refuse a gay person services so that they could start their own gay-friendly bakery.
ISP's should make this an explicit surcharge on people's bill. Something like "fee to store your personal browsing info for eternity, for more info contact your government representative". It's probably the only way to get the general public to pay attention to this
Could this be a way to 'save' newspapers?
Find a journalist you like and set up a system that you pay them a buck a month? If they are nice they could offer you access to their stories ad-free as a bonus.
Or just use the existing subscription model, just change it from "subscribing" to "financing" and you are employing your favorite organization or reporter.
