>>> Does Hotmail let you export everything? Does Yahoo?
nope. i was not really comparing it to anything tho. i agree it's a good thing, and better late than never. i was just pointing out the irony that they are liberating data from THEMSELF... it's like building a shed around your lawn mower, then realizing that you forgot to put in doors, so now you have to figure out how to get your lawn mower out!
... but ideally google would have designed their products to cross like that in the first place... instead of pinning their data into an inescapable hole... and then having to "liberate their data" after the fact... right?
Thus, asking how to make science popular I feel is the wrong question. The correct question is how to teach people it's value.
I believe that Science (like many other things) has been hi-jacked by politics. And since it's a given that people hate discussing politics they now hate discussing science too. The only way to make it popular again is to get politicians to stop hoarding it. Science should be for scientists and academia... politicians should get their dirty little fingers out of it.

... to maintain a website with more sub-domains and more information. It seems obvious to me that the Microsoft site in general is just gi-normous... therefore they have trouble epsecially with consistency. Apple just doesn't have as many things on their sites, and rightfully so considering Microsoft is a global giant, therefore the Apple employees have more time to sit around and play with the look and feel and user friendliness of a website. imho
... I say hire them on a 90 day probational period... if you don't like them then fire them and try try again. I think that works across all industries. You get to see them at work, you get familiar with their attitudes and working habits, and you always have a scapegoat that if you just don't like them, you can fire them.
... is to just use your damn bicycle. Why pay $5,000 for that thing? Why pay money for a segway? Buy a bike for a couple hundred bucks or cheaper. It's better for the environment and costs less. I don't see the need for this fancy motor scooter crap.
