In light of his solitary confinement abuse and who knows what else I'll take his statement with a grain of salt. The government's track record for torture and abuse isn't that good.

Sorry if you don't like my reasons but they are shared with many people. It is telling that as soon as they get meat like chicken or beef people who otherwise eat insects (and there aren't that many that do it with any regularity) immediately switch over.
