bmecoli writes: "AT&T seems to be blocking img.4chan.net which hosts the infamous /b/ (random) board, as well as /r9k/. Those who have contacted AT&T representatives were told that the site is in fact blocked, so this isn't a technical problem, and all the other 4chan subdomains work fine."

WilliamGeorge writes: As I'm sure most Slashdot readers are aware, Windows Vista won't be available in time for the upcoming holiday season. In order to encourage consumers to buy PCs this year anyway, Microsoft recently began an upgrade program so that computers purchased today with Windows XP can get discounted or free upgrades to Vista when it is released. What many people are not aware of, though, is the restrictions on what upgrades are available and the true costs that consumers will be responsible for. This article posted on a custom system builder's website has a lot of details on this program that I could not find anywhere else.
