Make it against the law to kill someone.
Oops. That didn't work either.

Annoying background music that is not needed. Why disturb others around me with it?
Over-animated narrators. I just want to see what the story is without inane babbling.
It can be done in India for 1/3 the cost.
Anywhere there's a network and a phone, it can be done at a less expensive rate.
I worked for one of the world's largest computer companies that allowed "working from home".
Often, I received a phone call from someone "working from home" asking me to do their job "because it's my working from home day".
Sometimes when I called them, they'd be at a toy store buying crap for their kid or one time, someone was on their tractor playing around with their "gentleman farmer" place.
The common mantra was "I get more work done from home than I'd *ever* get done at the office.
I'm rural. The nearest city is only 6 miles away but in my area, houses are farther apart (on acreage) and any form of fibre or cable is not cost effective. After waiting 18 months, I got Starlink at a cost of $120/month. It works great. Prior to that, I had two choices. HughesNet with a 10 GB monthly data cap or a private "canopy" type of UHF internet at 3 MB/sec max. Neither worked well.
Starlink approaches "real internet" but it's expensive but that's the cost of living where I live. My area has some of the worst internet connectivity in the entire county and it's a pretty large county.
Bakersfield is NOT a haven for liberals. It's quite redneck. Also the home town of Kevin McCarthy.
Agreed. Who wants to visit a town whose storefronts are occupied by miscreants and the behavior that goes along with them.
The last time this was tried under Obama, nothing happened except the money disappeared with no better internet in remote areas. I live in an area that has the worst internet in the county and nothing has happened here. Fortunately, after a 14 month wait, I was able to get Starlink but it costs $120/month.
San Francisco has created this problem with ultra permissiveness. Let the city go broke. Let the businesses leave. Let it become a lesson in Idiocracy and have it become a huge garbage dump that eventually falls in an avalanche.
It's satire.
Apple cultists. They'll buy anything with an Apple brand.
I had Google maps send me to the top of the hill behind the UC Berkeley Greek Theater. The top of the hill is not near the Greek Theater.
I disagree. My California homeowner's insurance premium increased 81% this year. I pay $3,400/year for homeowner's insurance now.
Not true. The "forests" that you mention are about 30 miles away and still we have an insurance problem where I live.
I'm paying $3,400/year for my howmeowner's insurance in California now. I just got a 81% increase in my insurance rate for the next 12 months. It's a result of CalFire rezoning our entire county to be a "moderate fire risk". We have the "sin" of having natural oak trees growing in the area. My house has a clear area around it limiting fire propagation FWIW. It doesn't matter. The house could be built of stone and the rate would be the same.
And it should be the law: If you use the word `paradigm' without knowing what the dictionary says it means, you go to jail. No exceptions. -- David Jones
