Congrats to everyone who worked so hard to get it there!

Why not do both?
Too many people are focusing on you calling the cell phone a safety tool, when in fact it is used for safety. But that wasn't why you deserve a 5. You deserve a 5 because you made an excellent point, if you remove somebody's ability to receive a tornado warning by conventional means, you need to provide additional safety. Before cell phones, did we protect our factory workers?
"we sacrificed the children to save the elderly, and we'll be paying the price for this choice for decades".
More like, we sacrificed the children's normal lives so that the children can have a future. This wasn't just to save the elderly. It was to try to do our best to control an epidemic we've never seen before. Maybe some people made it about the elderly, but we don't yet know the repercussions of the virus long term. Not just in those who get it, but every mutation/variation, and with the economy shutting down with all of the sick people. Each person that spreads it worsens what we have to spend years recovering from.
I agree that the approach hurt the children and didn't do enough to stop the spread. People are selfish, so while kids stayed home idiots played and got us to where we are now.
...While I do agree with the sentiment this is horrible, as in I think it will lead to many horrible things, I do wonder about an eventual positive spin? I mean, if we think far enough in the future, we assumed this will be possible eventually for anybody. In a lot of ways it's scary, but I think porn will eventually wear off and maybe we'll all be better for it. Once there's a version of everyone in the Paris Hilton video, then everyone's in it together.
I know it's optimistic, but maybe after a very rough start we could look forward to the novelty wearing off and people don't care about it anymore. In fact, maybe people will be less ashamed about appearing in porn all together and we can get over ourselves and our weird aversion to consensual sex. (Specifying consensual for obvious reasons)
We don't actually know when wine was invented do we?
Isn't this shortsighted? I may not quite understand, but I was under the impression that vaccinated people can still get COVID, they just fight it off easier. Doesn't this still mean a majority of the population getting infected and risking a mutation surviving a host that had no idea they even had COVID?
Thanks for this perspective. Very refreshing
I will admit I only RTFS, but he mentioned that overseas honorary degrees are different. One reason is maybe that they aren't purchased by donations. That argument could hold water at least, although I still think the answer is no there is possibly room for debate at least.
I'm not disagreeing with your point, I think you're right. But it's not just the equity, it's also the tax relief for paying a mortgage. So fully owning your house isn't a good investment but it's better if you're paying a mortgage. Part of that is that you have more buying power when you're getting a mortgage.
I came in to point this out. Each time I look at the buys, it's 100x100 at a time. It's not retail investors selling bunches of 100s
Sure, it can start with a testimony about corruption from Robinhood. Let's trace it higher up the line, where the pressure came from, what generates the capitol that causes that pressure, and a financial audit before funds are hidden to show illegal activities.
Just kidding, it's accepted corruption at this point

Not sure how this post is at a 5 but it's MISInformative, or outdated
A lot of these "amateur investors" will end up losing all their money, but who's the real winner here? IF they succeed in shining light on the abusive practices in wallstreet, then we'll all sing their praises some day.
An Ada exception is when a routine gets in trouble and says 'Beam me up, Scotty'.
