Last time I was there, the Hindu and Muslim populations were in a frantic breeding war trying to maintain or become a majority. That's a fundamental issue for any sort of population control. Maybe that's changed, or maybe the locals that told me this were somehow wrong.

I can't speak to FB, but a robot company I worked for once created a new corp in an EU nation, and transferred the IP and whatnot to that corp. After that, the new corp licensed the IP back, and essentially sucked all the profit into a lower tax locale.

I'm not sure how you're gonna stop corporations from entering into contracts with one another.

Alternatively we could just realize the whole concept of taxing corporations is broken.

So it's an interesting idea, but I'm not sure I'd spend $5 a month for that, and I'm pretty dang sure I'm more likely than average. I wonder what part of the market they need to capture to make this fly.

This is fiber - they are running fiber all over the place. The local cable outfit (Spectrum) keeps sending offers but I'm pretty happy.

Maybe it's the fact that we have some competition that's driving the level of service. I'm not sure.

Here in tiny town population 17K, way out west, the local ISP is serving up 1000/250 for $90 a month. Maybe I'm paying too much but it seemed OK to me.

Sold? Sure. Made? Not so much.

I doubt that's going to be an issue in the China facility ....
