I would think the main problem would be efficiency. What with oil being past peak, the future will tend to select for vehicles that use less energy per distance traveled.

Something similar seemed to be approved in November 2008. Anyone know why it didn't have any impact? As far as I can tell a bunch of tech companies complained that the requirement to listen for existing broadcasters, or looking up a database, was to expensive to implement in devices, and a bunch of existing broadcasters complained about interference. What will be different this time around?
Actually I found that there is a lot of advanced math/engineering content on Wikipedia that seems like only readers with intimate knowledge of the topics would be able to understand. My biggest problem with the articles was that there was too little intuition given to help an outsider read the articles.
